Biography
Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, IL but preferred spending her summers running up and down the streets on the West side with her eight cousins, playing softball, roller skating (with only one skate) and jumping double dutch. At night, she would spend hours creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep.
Angie attended Maria Montessori. During the fifth grade she started the first school newspaper and later went on to write, direct and star in a Christmas play. It was at that time she began spending her summers filling yellow notepads with love stories.
During high school she decided to pursue a career in acting and landed the starring role as "Puck" in a "Midsummer Nights Dream." During her sophomore year, her mother relocated to Columbia, Missouri, a small college town, where she landed a role in the musical "The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd." Her pursuit of acting was short-lived.
Shortly after graduation, Angie married and started a family. She later attended Columbia College where she received a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and went on to pursue a professional career in Human Resource Management. In 1999, the corporation where she was employed as Personnel Manager went out of business. It was at that time Angela decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. With her husband's blessings, she took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press.
In March 2003, Angie was offered a two-book contract with BET Books/Arabesque, the leader in African American romance. Her first release Endless Enchantment, is scheduled for October 2003. Her good fortune continued in May, when she was offered a two-book contract with Kensington Publishing under the Dafina Books imprint. Her first women's fiction entitled, When It Rains, is schedule for fall 2004.
We can look forward to three upcoming 2004 releases from Angie Daniels - her next two books from Genesis Press: Time is of the Essence (April 2004) and A Will to Love (December 2004) and her first release with Dafina Books. As the years continue, we can all look forward to a long and continuous future in the industry.
She currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware with her family where she is pursuing a Master's in Human Resource Management.
